Suit alterations, done by hand
A suit should fit the room you're about to walk into.
AttoColor takes in, lets out, shortens, and reshapes jackets, trousers and vests until the garment moves the way you do — pinned, marked and finished on site.
What we alter
Every part of the suit, adjusted to you
Jackets, trousers, vests and shirts — brought in, let out, shortened or restructured, one garment at a time.
Jacket adjustment
Waist suppression, shoulder correction, sleeve length, and body shortening or lengthening — reshaping the jacket around your posture, not the other way around.
Trouser alteration
Hemming with or without a cuff, waist take-in or let-out, leg tapering, and seat adjustment for a break that lands exactly where you want it.
Vest & waistcoat fitting
Side and back adjustment for a vest that sits close without pulling at the buttons when you sit down.
Dress shirt tailoring
Body and sleeve tapering so a shirt sits flat under a jacket instead of billowing at the waist.
Lining & interior repair
Torn or worn linings replaced, interior seams reinforced, and pockets rebuilt so the parts you don't see hold up as long as the parts you do.
Buttons & closures
Matched button replacement, buttonhole repair, and zipper or hook-and-bar replacement on trousers and vests.
Pricing
What alterations run
Starting prices for common work. Fabric, construction and how much a garment needs to move all affect the final quote.

GENERAL
Prices shown are starting rates for standard work on wool and wool-blend suiting. Heavier alterations, structured jackets, and rush turnaround are quoted at your fitting before any work begins.
How it works
From fitting to finished
Four visits become two for most alterations — a fitting, then pickup.
Bring it in
Walk in or call ahead. Wear the shoes and shirt you'll pair with the suit, since that changes where a hem or waist should sit.
Pin & mark
The garment is fitted on you, pinned at each point of adjustment, and marked in chalk before anything is cut.
Alter
Seams are opened, taken in or let out, and pressed by hand. Most work is ready within a week.
Final fitting
You try it on before it leaves the shop. If anything needs a second pass, it's adjusted at no extra charge.
